At 12 pm on 4th July 2023, the BDA Benevolent Fund Board of Trustees will propose a resolution to the members at our 140th AGM on whether to expand the remit to include supporting asylum seekers and refugee dentists, living in the UK.
The Board of Trustees believes that asylum seekers and refugee dentists are part of the dental family. They could also make a valuable contribution to the delivery of dental services in the UK and are a potential resource at a time when the country needs more dentists.
BDA members and BDA Benevolent Fund Partnership members have been invited to attend the AGM and vote on the resolution to amend Charity’s objects. Other votes include the re-election of three current Trustees and signing off the minutes and audited accounts from the last AGM.
Those unable to attend the AGM in person can complete a proxy voting form and submit it no later than 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
We look forward to seeing you at the AGM or receiving your votes by proxy. Should you have any queries, please get in touch.
After the AGM, there will be an event to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the BDA Benevolent Fund, including a panel discussion about “The Future of Dentistry”. Click here for further information including details of the panel members.
