The General Dental Council has introduced a new pay by instalments option for the Annual Retention Fee for all dental care professionals. This allows you to spread the costs over the year by opting into quarterly direct debits.
“Our charity typically sees an increase in applications towards the end of the year and when Annual Retention Fees are due,” explains Laura Hannon, General Manager. “We recognise that the large, single payment can be a struggle; particularly for those between roles, returning after a period of absence, or who are at the outset of their careers. We will continue to offer grant support for the ARF if people are struggling financially but we would advise dentists to take full advantage of the quarterly payment option to help spread the cost.”
Act now!
To be able to pay 2022 fees by quarterly direct debit, you must log in to eGDC and select the quarterly direct debit option no later than 31st October 2021. We are calling on all those that are thinking about choosing this option to do it as soon as possible so you don’t miss out. You can find the full details on the General Dental Council website.
“We’d also recommend that if there are dental students, dentists, and their families, who are already struggling financially, to get in touch with us sooner rather than later. If you are struggling financially, take a look at how to apply for financial support.”
