Exhibiting at The Smile Within, showing on the joint stand (H94) of the BDA Benevolent Fund and Bridge2aid at The British Dental Conference & Dentistry Show (NEC Birmingham) on 15th & 16th May during Mental Health Awareness Week.
Georgios Giazitzis is a photographer and videographer whose work centres on connection — to people, place and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed.
Born and raised in Greece, Georgios now works in the UK as a Social Media Manager for Henry Schein Dental UK, where he creates digital content for campaigns, CSR initiatives and charitable partners.
With a background in videography, photography and a Master’s degree in content creation and digital campaigns, Georgios is driven by storytelling that resonates emotionally and ethically.
His contribution to The Smile Within marks his first art exhibition, featuring photographs captured during a charity outreach programme in Tanzania with Bridge2Aid, Henry Schein’s charity partner.
Photography, Charity and Storytelling
In 2026, Georgios joined a Bridge2Aid volunteer trip to Tanzania, supporting outreach dental programmes in rural communities.
While travelling to and from clinics in and around Mwanza, he began quietly photographing his surroundings from a minibus; fields, villages, workers, and moments of everyday life unfolding at a slower pace than he was used to.
“These weren’t planned images,” Georgios explains. “They were captured on the move; spontaneous moments that felt honest and calm.”
The photographs focus on body language, gesture, environment and colour telling a powerful human story of daily life in the villages and surrounding fields.
Featured Artwork
Georgios is exhibiting three framed photographic prints (A4 size, black frames with white mounts), all taken during the Bridge2Aid outreach programme in Tanzania.
This series captures candid, quiet moments of daily life; people walking, working, pausing, framed by wide skies, open fields and vibrant clothing. Occasionally, a smile was exchanged between photographer and subject, creating a fleeting but meaningful connection.
“These brief moments of recognition,” Georgios reflects, “felt deeply human.”

One can imagine the mindfulness of the work going on in the fields, or perhaps the sense that this quiet landscape holds something the person is searching for. It’s a beautiful view to fall into and reflect on, and would look well-placed in any dental reception or treatment room.
Featured Artwork: Time to Rest

This piece captures the immediate and innate need to rest between chores. It’s a reminder of the very powerful and restorative nature of taking a break. A perfect image to depict caring for your own wellbeing, and perhaps a nice reminder in any space to take a moment.
All three photographs align closely with the wellbeing theme of The Smile Within. Not through staged expressions, but through subtle warmth, resilience and shared presence. They invite the viewer to slow down, observe, and reflect on connection beyond words. The artwork can be bought at the exhibition and bids are also invited online from 1st May.
Connection, Ethics and Wellbeing
For Georgios, connection is central to wellbeing: connection with the self, with others, and with the world beyond our immediate environment.
Photography allows him to process these connections not by imposing a narrative, but by responding to what is already there.
“Photography is a way of expression,” he says. “It’s about seeing reality through your own lens and understanding how it affects you emotionally.”
Witnessing life in Tanzania, so different in pace and structure from London, prompted reflection, empathy and awareness of global inequalities, particularly in access to dental care.
Through both photography and video, Georgios continues to support Bridge2Aid by helping raise funds and awareness through his professional role and creative output.
