We are inviting you to attend the BDA Benevolent Fund’s Advisory Council Meeting on Saturday, 13 June 2026, starting at 10 am. The meeting will be held virtually on Zoom, and we anticipate it will last approximately 60 minutes.
We tailor each Advisory Council meeting to focus on a specific topic to help get the most out of our supporters’ knowledge and expertise and allow for a more informed discussion. Therefore, the theme for this meeting will concentrate on:
‘The Future Structure of the BDA Benevolent Fund’
The Board intends to put forward a proposal for the Charity to incorporate. This would involve establishing a new incorporated charity to continue the BDA Benevolent Fund’s work. The Charity’s purpose, activities, and support for beneficiaries would remain unchanged, but the new structure would provide limited liability protection for Trustees.
As this proposal will require approval by members at the AGM, we are keen to seek feedback, advice, and guidance from our supporters and stakeholders ahead of this process. By joining us, we hope you will:
- Learn more about the proposed change to the Charity’s legal structure
- Understand why the Board is recommending incorporation
- Understand what would change – and what would stay the same
- Ask questions directly to the Trustees
- Share your feedback to help inform the Board’s approach ahead of the AGM
The draft proposal can be viewed in the link below.
The invitation is open and all supporters are welcome to join. If you have a colleague or contact who you think would be interested in attending the meeting, please feel free to pass on this invitation. Please register to attend by Wednesday, 10 June 2026

We will be taking questions in advance and on the day of the event. If you wish to send in your apologies, please email us.
We look forward to seeing you.
