We are delighted to welcome Henrietta as our new Grants Caseworker, joining the team at a time when demand for support is higher than ever.
Henrietta brings more than 20 years of experience working across the charity and public sectors. In recent years, she has developed a strong specialism in working for the occupational charities, equipping her with the empathy, insight and practical expertise needed to support people through challenging circumstances.
Her appointment strengthens our ability to deliver timely, compassionate and fair support to dental students, dentists, refugee dentists and their families.
In her role, Henrietta will sit at the heart of our grant-making work. She will guide applicants through the process with sensitivity and clarity, assessing financial and personal circumstances and ensuring support is tailored to individual need.
Henrietta’s experience will be particularly valuable as she manages a diverse caseload. From identifying urgent or high-risk cases to analysing complex financial situations, she will play a key role in ensuring support is delivered fairly, consistently and at the moments it matters most.
Beyond individual cases, Henrietta will contribute to the ongoing development of the charity’s services. By identifying emerging trends and needs within applications, she will help inform how the Charity evolves to meet the changing pressures facing the dental community, ensuring resources are used where they can have the greatest impact.
Based in North Wales, Henrietta lives on a farm with her husband and their 10-year-old twin boys, surrounded by cows, sheep, chickens and their sheepdog, Alfie. Her grounded, practical outlook is matched by a strong sense of community. When she’s not working, you’ll find her on the badminton court, volunteering at her local parkrun, playing netball, or cheering from the sidelines at her family’s sporting events.
Henrietta is looking forward to getting to know the dental profession and seeing first-hand the difference the BDA Benevolent Fund makes.
“I’m excited to bring my experience to the role and contribute to improving the lives of dentists and their families.”
— Henrietta
Her arrival marks an important step in strengthening the charity’s ability to provide responsive, compassionate, and high-quality support, ensuring no member of the dental community has to face difficult times alone.
We’re very lucky to have you, Henrietta. Welcome to the team.
