Fundraise and ‘Have FUN in aid of the Benevolent Fund’
Whether you run or cycle, sing or dance, bake a cake or shake a cocktail – you can have fun and raise money for the BDA Benevolent Fund. Whatever you chose to do, your efforts will make a massive difference to people’s lives. We get no government funding, so we rely entirely on people like you to continue our work supporting dentists and their families whenever they are in need.
Three steps to fundraising
We can help you fundraise, whether you’re doing something on your own or taking part in an organised fundraising activity. If you’d like help with your fundraising efforts, just let us know; our local trustees will help and support you. Plus we can provide you with collection boxes, leaflets, gift aid envelopes and moral support.
1. Choose your fundraising activity
There are many ways to raise money, from running a marathon, trying to break a world record, to organising a cake or car boot sale.
2. Set up a fundraising page
It is really easy to set up an online fundraising page. Once you have set up your page you can share it with all your friends and family – either by email or on Facebook – and ask them to support you.
3. Paying in your sponsorship money
To pay in your sponsorship money, please contact our team on 020 7486 4994 or email@example.com .
How the money you raise makes a difference
The money you raise changes lives, every £1 you raise goes directly to our work supporting dentists and their families
What one of our beneficiaries said sums it up:
“Thank you for making the last year possible. Your support has meant our lives have not spiralled to depths we may have not been able to recover from. It has meant we have gradually been able to rebuild ourselves as a family”

By fundraising for the BDA Benevolent Fund, you can provide support to your profession and to those in need.
Spread the word
The BDA Benevolent Fund has been working for over 130 years to ensure that no dentist is unsupported in times of need or crisis. Our ultimate aim is to reach more people in need. General awareness – especially amongst younger dentists – is still too low. We need dentists in all areas of the UK to help spread the word.
If you know someone who is finding it hard to cope, make sure they know about the BDA Benevolent Fund. If we can help, we will. Share, like and keep up to date with our efforts on our Facebook page
The Annual General Meeting is an opportunity to see what the charity has achieved over the last 12 months, how your support has helped those in the dental community and learn more about our plans for the future.
The meeting will be on Friday 30 June, starting at 3pm and held at the British Dental Association, 64 Wimpole Street, London, W1G 8YS. Minutes from last year’s meeting along with 2016 Annual Report and Accounts will be available on the day. If you would like to attend or for us to send you the information in advance, please get in touch so we can send you an invitation.
