Next meeting: Saturday 24 April 2021 to start at 10.30am via Zoom
Following feedback from our first meeting, we are tailoring each meeting to focus on a specific topic to help get the most of out our supporter’s knowledge and expertise and allow for a more informed discussion. The meeting will concentrate on ‘How best to promote the Charity to dental students?’ We are, therefore, specifically looking for people to join the meeting who are either; undergraduate BDS students at UK dental schools or; who are involved with working/ supporting/ assisting dental students.
The meeting will start at 10.30 am with a welcome and introductions. The ‘formal’ part of the meeting should finish at 11.30 am but for those that are interested, you are welcome to stay online and chat with the Trustees and your colleagues.
Please RSVP by 5 pm on Wednesday 21 April 2021 using this link.
If you attended the last Advisory Council meeting but are unavailable to or prefer to decline this meeting, we will continue to keep your contact details on our mailing list for invitations to other events. You are also welcome to contact us at any point for a general chat or request an update on our activities.
The role of the Advisory Council is to provide a structure by which the BDA Benevolent Fund maintains and develops important relationships with key supporters and interested parties in the dental community. Its function is to provide an opportunity for guidance, support and feedback to the Board of Trustees in carrying out their remit. The meeting will also be an opportunity to learn more about the Charity with some information and details about how we have been helping individuals in need.
The Advisory Council will support the charity with;
• networking and extending communication
• providing a mechanism for feedback to the charity
• being involved with discussions on the charity’s strategic priorities
