The Trustees have reviewed their governing document and are proposing to bring it up to date; clarify a number of matters and ensure the organisation is efficient as well as fit for the future. These proposals will be forward and voted on at the AGM at 3.30pm on Tuesday 18 September 2018 at 64 Wimpole Street.
The Trustees are putting forward a number of recommendations and amendments to the charity’s governing document (the Rules) including; to the structure of the Board and; to the process of nomination and recruitment of Trustees. They are also suggesting an alteration to the BDA Benevolent Fund’s Rules in relation to the membership as well as some administration and procedural changes in line with current practice.
BDA members are ‘deemed to be a member’ of the BDA Benevolent Fund and therefore have voting rights for the charity. The Trustees would like to ensure all BDA members are aware and are invited to exercise their right at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
For further information about the proposed amendments will be available on this web page shortly.
If you would like to attend the AGM, please confirm your attendance by 1pm on Tuesday 11 September 2018.
